InfoPro Worldwide visited the Frankfurt Book Fair (FBF) from October 14 to October 18. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the world’s largest trade fair that is held annually in mid October in Frankfurt, Germany. The fair is the most important marketplace for books, media, rights, and licenses worldwide. This year, China was the guest of honor and almost 7,300 exhibitors from 100 countries participated in the fair. More than 10,000 journalists and 300,000 trade and general visitors attended the event. The major highlights of FBF 2009 were forums on audio books, film and media, education, and publishing trends; panel discussions focusing on digital content; readings by famous children’s authors; signing events with comic book artists, seminars and conferences; and prestigious book prize awards
